Chiropractic Acupuncture

Chiropractic Acupuncture is used to alleviate pain and promote overall health. Acupuncture is used to treat a wide range of health problems, such as persistent lower back pain, chronic tension-type headaches and migraines, neck pain, joint pain, knee pain, hip pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, postoperative pain, among other health issues. Chiropractic acupuncture takes a holistic approach to understanding normal function and disease processes and focuses as much on the prevention of illness as on the treatment. Chiropractic Acupuncture uses laser or needles placed along invisible meridians that run throughout the body. Acupuncture needles signal to your body to send extra blood supply to the targeted area and relax the muscles. This increased circulation also increases oxygen and nutrients to the area while also removing waste products such as lactic acid, thus promoting the healing process in the affected area. Laser chiropractic acupuncture therapy or electrical stimulation are alternatives for patients who do not like needles. Dr. Snowden offers Laser as an alternative to needles. He is Board Certified in Chiropractic Acupuncture and a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. All chiropractic acupuncture treatments are in conjunction with chiropractic manipulation utilized to correct a diagnosed spinal subluxation.

The actual treatment has little to no pain and patients are pleasantly surprised with how little discomfort acupuncture needles cause. Most patients report no pain at all.
